Ages 5 and older may ride with an adult. Ages 5-14 must wear a life jacket (you may bring your own or we will provide one)
Must be 18+ with a valid drivers license to drive the CraigCat. Boaters safety certificate required for anyone born after January 1, 1988. See below.
IMPORTANT AGE REQUIREMENT INFORMATION!
Florida State Law requires anyone born after January 1, 1988 to have a valid boaters safety course certificate (lifetime or 90-day) prior to operating a motor vessel of 10HP or greater. Please choose a course below, complete, and save or print your certificate prior to arriving for your tour!
RECOMMENDED! 90-Day Temporary is $9.99. Takes 1-2 hours or you may take quiz without reviewing the course: https://www.boat-ed.com/floridarental/
Lifetime course is FREE. Takes 6-8 hours to complete: https://www.boatus.org/florida/
Both will allow you to participate in all activities in Florida that require a Boaters Education Certificate.
Pack small! Small items such as sunscreen, phones, wallets, keys, shelling bags and cameras usually fit into the built in drybox on each boat. You may bring additional drinks for your cooler (no adult beverages) and snacks as well! Towels can be placed on your seat or seat-back.
Beach attire is what we recommend. Hats are acceptable but may fly off if not secured well. In general, wear clothes and footwear you will not mind getting splashes. We also recommend wearing polarized sunglasses if you have them, which gives greater visibility of wildlife that may be just under the surface of the water.
Two people must be in each boat that goes out on the tour with the exception of the guide boat. In the event that you have an odd number of people in your group, one person will ride with the tour guide. Opportunities to switch with other drivers will be made available if requested.
There are no traditional facilities among our tour routes. We do stop at a barrier island during our 2.5 hour tour. There are no stops on the 1.5 hour tour.
We have a 72 hour cancellation policy for cancellations outside of operator cancellations, due to weather or mechanical events.
If you must cancel within the 72 hours, still contact us as soon as possible. If we are able to refill your seats prior to the tour, you will still be issued a full refund or partial refund if only some of your seats were filled.
Although it is VERY common to see the various wildlife that inhabit the Ten Thousand Islands, we do not guarantee it!
Some of the wildlife we typically see on our adventures are:
Various species of fish
Dozens of different species of shorebirds
Skunk ape (occasionally)
Ages 5-14 must wear a life jacket at all times while underway. 15+ are not required. We do have life jackets on site for all ages and sizes. Each CraigCat has two lifejackets onboard at all times as required by law.
